Bio Green's Summer Notices for 2008

  • Up to 90% of the weight of a grass plant is in its roots, making it very efficient in stabilizing the soil and preventing erosion. Soil erosion and runoff is identified as the number one problem affecting the Chesapeake Bay.
  • Healthy, dense lawns can absorb rainfall six times more effectively than a wheat field and four times better than a hay field. This reduces runoff of water, chemicals and nutrients.
  • The cooling effect of an average size lawn is equal to about 9 tons of air conditioning, greater than a typical home’s central air conditioning unit.
  • Turf reduces noise levels by as much as 30%.
  • Turfgrass traps much of an estimated 12 million tons of dust and dirt released annually into the U.S. atmosphere.
  • Weed free, well maintained turf reduces pollen sources providing a safe haven for allergy sufferers.
  • A well groomed lawn and landscape will increase property values up to 15%.
  • A turf area just 50 feet by 50 feet absorbs carbon dioxide, ozone, sulfur dioxide and other gases and releases enough oxygen for a family of four.
  • Athletic fields covered with natural turf have proven to be safer than artificial turfs.
  • A Gallup Survey reported 62% of all U.S. homeowners felt investment in lawns and landscaping was as good or better than other home improvements.

Many southern and western states and/ or municipalities offer rebates for wise water conservation. Rebates are usually for Rain Sensors, Programmable Irrigation Controllers, and Check Valves on sprinkler heads. This demonstrates how important irrigation systems and more importantly, water conservation has become. Bio Green is offering to upgrade any existing sprinkler system with these important and relatively inexpensive devices at a discount. We will also inspect non-customer sprinkler systems for water efficiency by proper programming of watering times, correct coverage and possible leaks for a nominal fee.

Bio Green is offering it's own "Economic Stimulus Package" with a price roll back to 2003 Prices. We are now booking installations for August, September and then for Winter. Call today for a Free estimate and consultation.
